Even if you aren’t ready to move to full cloud computing, you can still get some great benefits from limited cloud access. One good example is to consider storing a specific set of data. Cloud storage gives you a number of benefits: controlled access, off-site security, and access from anywhere you have an internet connection using computers, phones or tablets. If you are not ready to go full cloud in your office, a hybrid cloud solution could be a great first step for your data access and protection.
One of the most notable leaders in cloud storage is Egnyte. This cloud management application offers secure cloud storage, syncing with a variety of apps, version conflict resolution, and much more. With their Q3 improvements and more on the way, it could be time to reassess your company’s data access. Recent enhancements include compliance with HIPPA, PCI, SOX and even the latest standard GDPR recently enacted in Europe, as well as remote wipe for users accessing data from cell phones.
Manageability has been augmented with new reports that convey who has accessed data recently, which user has permissions (inherited or set manually) and to what folder or files. You can be in control and edit access easily and quickly.
Egnyte also provides a streamlined way to change user names without multiple steps. If you have a terminal server environment, Egnyte is close to releasing support for those situations as well. Egnyte also continues to improve existing integrations with major industry players such as Zoom, Pype and DarkTrace, and coming soon, they will add Microsoft, SAP and Google.
